Начинаю игры с конфигурацией conky. Во-первых, традиционое размещение конфигурационного файла, в моем случае (OpenSUSE) сильно отличается от канонического.
Как я уже рассказал, в /etc/conky я обнаружил два файла: conky_no_x11.conf и conky.conf. Сделав копии решил их поконфигурить. Начал с conky.conf. Вот так он выглядел изначально:

Для эксперимента поменял параметр alignment top_left на alignment top_right. В результате conky переехал па правую сторону. Значит я иду правильным путем. Выходит, что у них своя свадьба, а у меня своя свадьба. Хотя, все же ща внимательно почитаю инструкции, и возможно правильнее сделать таки локальный пользовательский конфигурационный файл. Чтобы не наломать дров. Тем более, что есть два раздела конфигов, которые, похоже, в моем случае разнесены в два разных файла.
